About The GDA Induction Training
1. What is the Purpose of the Graphic Designers Africa Induction Training (GDAIT)?
The GDAIT is a digital-skills program that equips our members with the basic knowledge needed to effectively explore Graphic Design.
We hope to graduate at least 500 excellent participants from the GDAIT program on a monthly basis.
3. What is the scope of GDAIT?
The GDAIT program is in 5 phases as follows:
i. Fundamental Principles of Graphic Design.
ii. Basic Use of Canva Graphic Design Software.
iii. Introduction to Niche Areas In Graphic Design.
iv. Business Skills & Etiquettes for Graphic Designers.
iv. Internship Program for Graphic Designers.
4. What is the schedule of GDAIT?
Each phase of the GDAIT training is scheduled to run for 1-3 weeks (Monday – Friday). While the Internship Program is scheduled to run for 6 months. Somewhere in-between there’s 2 weeks break for exams and certification. That’s 9 months of powerful learning accessible to GDA members.
5. Who can join the GDAIT as an Instructor and what are their benefits?
Only GDA members who’ve completed the 9 months training will be eligible to Volunteer as Instructors after the pioneer Instructors.
The Instructors platform gives qualifying members the opportunity to boost their exposure and skills in Graphic Design, Leadership, Communication, Organization, and People Management.
After the first 2-weeks of working, Instructors with outstanding performance based on students feedback will be retained and awarded Certificates. Instructors will also be rewarded when GDA begins to generate revenue.
6. Who can join the GDAIT as a Student and what are their benefits?
The GDAIT program is open to GDA members who are Africans based in Africa.
Benefits include:
1. Added Knowledge.

4. Participation in Workshops/Projects.
5. Recommendation from GDA for other beneficial opportunities.
7. Where are the classes for the GDAIT program holding?
The classes are currently being held via WhatsApp groups. Other resources such as Google (Forms, Drives, Docs, YouTube, etc) are utilized in the training.
8. When is the next batch of the GDAIT commencing?
The next batch will kick-off at the first day of a new month. The link to join will be announced here in GDA on the 24th of every month.
If the link to one class is full, a link for a second class will be posted. Only 500 students can be accepted per class.
