Overview
The BHW event is a week-long series of carefully curated activities that connect the GDA community and GDA Brand partners. These activities are designed to support and advance the purpose and goals of the community and brand partners in a mutually beneficial manner.
Previous BHW Experiences
In September 2022, our first Brand Hype Week featured Yabacon Africa, a product of Codessy Technologies based in Nigeria. The purpose of the partnership was to create awareness within the Graphic design tech space about their new brand and their upcoming event in 2023. And the goal was to increase their social media followership with members of our community who are part of their target audience as well as generate graphic media content for their social media pages. You can find all about the event via the link here.
In October 2022, we had our second Brand Hype Week featuring Printfiam, a product of Quickprints Media and Communications Limited based in Nigeria. The purpose of the partnership was to create awareness within the Graphic design tech space about their services as printers. And the goal was also to increase their social media followership with members of our community who are part of their target audience as well as generate graphic media content for their social media pages. In March 2023, we had our third Brand Hype Week featuring Co-Creation Hub, a product of Co-Creation Hub Limited based in Nigeria. Curated Activities
Here’s a list of the basic activities that make up our Brand Hype Week offering to partners:
1. Three (3) pinned posts describing your brand and its offerings. These posts can come as text, image, video, or a combination of all 3 as presented by you.
2. A reward-based activity for community members along with the posts. Activity can include filling survey forms or voting for your brand at a competition or attendance of an online event.
3. A 1 hour Facebook Live Video Show where a representative of your brand talks about your offerings. Attendees will be eligible to win prizes for participating at this event.
4. A week-long mini design competition centered around your brand and based on the brief we’ve discussed that will be used for the competition.
5. A Facebook poll for our members to give us feedback regarding the Hype week content to help us gauge the impact and improve on it.
6. Members will be encouraged to follow your brand on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram during the course of the hype week. The design competition will also increase visibility of the brand offerings.
